This graceful 1892 Victorian B&B is a four-diamond award-winning inn with original stained glass windows and handcrafted woodwork. Located in the Northern Catskill Mountains, the inn is only two and a half hours north of New York City and one hour south of Albany, New York. Albergo Allegria features 21 guestrooms - 12 rooms and four suites in the main house, and 5 suites in the carriage house. Breakfast is served in the large, sunny dining room, where guests can also relax and enjoy refreshments at all hours of the day. The kitchen offers unlimited tea, coffee, cookies, and other beverages - guests can just help themselves. The inn's parlor is spacious and inviting with overstuffed couches and an heirloom chair-and-a-half. Share a bottle of wine next to the large, cherry mantled fireplace, or simply curl up with a book. Guests can make themselves at home as they experience the grace and repose of another century. The elegant and classy rooms of the inn are only part of the treasure that awaits guests. Each room is simply a mystical haven of peace and quiet and will make any guest feel comfortable and at home. All rooms come with air- conditioning, alarm clock radio, cable TV and VCR, hair dryer, smoke detectors, and a telephone with voicemail. #43 Route 296, Windham, NY - From Albany Airport: Take northway 87 to thruway going south. Take Exit 21, towards Catskill. After paying toll, proceed to the stop sign and make a left turn. Make the first right onto Route 23 west. Take 23 west just over 23 miles and make a left onto Route 296. Albergo Allegria is 1/10 of a mile on the left. The entrance to the inn is halfway down the driveway on the left hand side.
